Marl is a crumbly mixture of clays, calcium, and magnesium carbonates, often used as fertilizer for lime-deficient soils.

Bu bitdi 160 year-old piece of art "The Marl Pit at Mulcent: Evening" was painted by the kişi Fransız rəssam Antoine Chintreuil in 1857.
